Where do my books come from? Plex, Audiobookshelf, files on your device, and free LibriVox books.

Does it work with Audible? No. Audible books are protected and can only be played in Audible’s own app.

How do I find where I fell asleep? Tap Find my spot on the player. It shows last night’s listening with everything you did, so you can pick the moment you remember.

What are Moments? A short line for every half minute you heard, shown in Find my spot. The audio is turned into text on your device, so it never leaves it.

Do I need an AI key? No. Summaries are written on your device when it supports Apple Intelligence. Adding an OpenAI or Anthropic key is optional.

What does NightChapter Plus add? Moments, AI summaries, Smart Snooze, sleep sounds, night levelling, a speed for each book, the Lamp light and Dusk themes and icons, and the Apple Watch app. Playing books, the sleep timer, Find my spot, downloads, widgets and Extra dim are free.

Is Plus a subscription? No. It’s a one-time purchase, and Family Sharing is on. The first two books you play get Plus features such as Moments and Smart Snooze for free, so you can try them on real nights first.

How do I restore Plus on a new device? Sign in with the same Apple Account, open any NightChapter Plus screen and tap Restore purchases.

Is my place saved across devices? Yes, through your own iCloud account.
